CiderWorld Award 2019

The CiderWorld Award is organized by the trade fair company Apfelwein International UG in coperation with the University of Applied Sciences Geisenheim. Submitted samples are analyzed in the laboratory of the University of Applied Sciences Geisenheim and tasted by an international expert jury. This goes hand in hand with an independent and precise expertise, which can be best used for the marketing of products.
The submitted products will be presented at the CiderWorld'19 Award & Preview in an exclusive setting on the day before the Frankfurt Cider Fair. The best products of the competition will be awarded with the CiderWorld Medal 2019.

Criteria

The evaluation criteria and categories are defined by the international expert jury. Country specific characteristics of the products are discussed.

The sensory examination is evaluated according to the CiderWorld-120-points-scheme.

  • 109 - 120 points = gold
  • 97 - 108 points = silver
  • 80 - 96 points = took part
